Im Windows Phone Store steht für die offizielle App der Online-Plattform für Fotografen 500px für Windows Phone 8 oder höher ab sofort das erste Update bereit. Neben weiteren Verbesserungen, unterstützt dieses Update auch die folgenden Sprachen: Arabisch, Bahasa Indonesisch, Portugiesisch, Französisch, Deutsch, Italienisch, Russisch, Spanisch, Thai, Vietnamesisch sowie vereinfachtes und traditionelles Chinesisch. Mithilfe der offiziellen 500px App können auch Windows Phone Nutzer durch die Bilder der Online-Plattform browsen, diese Favorisieren oder Votings geben, wenn sie einem gefallen. Die 500px App unterstützt auch die Sperrbildschirmfunktion, damit Bilder der Online-Plattform auf dem Sperrbildschirm angezeigt werden können. Das knapp 3 Megabyte große Update mit der Versions-Nummer 1.1 erfordert Windows Phone 8 oder höher und kann ab sofort im Windows Phone Store heruntergeladen werden.
