Facebook App für BlackBerry Version 4.1 ist verfügbar
Für die offizielle Facebook App für BlackBerry steht in der BlackBerry World ab sofort eine neue Version zum Download bereit. Die neue Version enthält Verbesserungen beim Filtern von Neuigkeiten, beim Profildesign und Foto-Markierung. Zudem werden Fehler beim Empfang von Benachrichtigungen sowie das Problem mehrerer, doppelter Freundschaftsanfragen behoben. Das Update mit der Versions-Nummer 4.1.0.19 für die kostenlosen Facebook App setzt ein BlackBerry Gerät mit OS 5, 6, 7 und 7.1 voraus und kann ab sofort über das BlackBerry World geladen und installiert werden. Der kanadische Hersteller BlackBerry empfiehlt den Anwendern, vor der Installation von Version 4.1 die Vorgängerversionen von Facebook zu löschen, um etwaige Installationsprobleme zu vermeiden. The new features and enhancements for Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones version 4.1 include the following items:
- Easier Access to News Feed Filtering Options - Facebook 4.1 makes it even easier to access your News Feed Filters. You can now select Show All, Status Updates, Photos or Links directly from the Navigation List as well as from your BlackBerry Menu Key.
- Refreshed Profile Design - Facebook 4.1 has an exciting new look and feel for your Profile page. You’ll be able to view your cover photo, larger profile pictures, plus there’s a new ‘More Actions’ button that allows you to view another user’s cover photo in full screen mode.
- Set Your Profile Photo - With Facebook 4.1 you can easily change your profile photo using the BlackBerry Menu key on your smartphone. Simply select a photo from an album, press the BlackBerry Menu Key and select ‘Set As Profile Picture’.
- Photo tag enhancements - Facebook now allows you to view multiple photos tags in your News Feed. For up to two people tagged with your photo, users can see their profile names. For three or more people tagged with your photo, the number of people tagged will be displayed. Users can then click on this to find out who’s been tagged.
- Additional Improvements - Facebook 4.1 provides a fix for notification clearing and the issue of receiving multiple, duplicate friend requests has been addressed. Users may still experience duplicate friend requests under poor network conditions. Facebook 4.1 also provides User Interface improvements for Nearby Places screen.

- A text scrolling issue occurred when using a Remote Search text field.
- The comment count was not updated after deleting a comment.
- The News Feed did not update properly when liking comments.
- The News Feed stopped responding and displayed a white screen when scrolling to the top of the News Feed.
- News Feed posts were not updated with new comments on BBOS 7.1 devices.
- In some instances, Facebook notifications were not cleared.
- In rare cases, some users didn't receive Facebook notifications.
- Searching for friends returned duplicates.
- My Numbers did not accept phone numbers with 12, 13, or 14 digits.
- Implemented the "with" feature for tagged photo's in News Feeds.
- Names were missing in the tagged user list and other user's friends' list.
- The names of tagged users did not appear in status update or check-in post.
- Improvements in Photo Tags/Tag Info.
- When refreshing the Friends list, it stayed in a Loading Friends state.
- Read messages continued to display as Unread in the Messages Quick View panel.
- New default images are available for user profiles.
- Improved scrolling and navigation, under certain conditions.
- A friend’s profile picture was not updated on the profile screen when the friend changed his profile photo.
