Paint.NET Version 4.0.2 steht zum Download bereit

Kaum hatte es sich herumgesprochen, dass der Entwickler Rick Brewster die Version 4.0 der kostenlosen Bildbearbeitungs-Software Paint.NET als finale Version freigegeben hatte, stand mit der Version 4.0.1 ein Update mit vielen Fehlerbehebungen und Verbesserungen bereit. Ab sofort lässt sich nun über die offizielle Paint.NET Webseite mit Version 4.0.2 ein weiteres Update für die kostenlos erhältliche Bildbearbeitungs-Software herunterladen. Das Update auf die Version 4.0.2 bringt diverse Neuerungen, Verbesserungen und wichtige Performance-Optimierungen, die sich weiter unten einsehen lassen. Die neueste Version erfordert einen Computer mit mindestens Windows 7 Service Pack 1 oder neuer und kann ab sofort über die weiter unten genannte Website geladen werden. Paint.NET Version 4.0.2 -> Release Notes

Die Version 4.0.2 enthält die folgenden Neuerungen und Verbesserungen:

• Fixed the gamma and contrast for text rendering on some systems where the wrong values were being used ("rainbow" text).
• Colors window now correctly lets you paste a hex color value that starts with a hash, e.g.
• Gradient tool now lets you reverse a transparency gradient by clicking the right mouse button on one of the handles.
• Move Selected Pixels now lets you hold Control to leave a copy of the selected area behind on the initial move.
• Paint Bucket tool’s hatch fill modes weren’t working with the Overwrite blending mode.
• Fixed a keyboard tabbing issue in the Resize dialog.
• Fixed the language setting in the Settings dialog not always allowing you to set it to English if your system’s default language is non-English.
• Fixed a performance issue that caused images with many layers (50+) to take a VERY long time to open, close, or even switch away from.
• Fixed a rare crash at application exit.
• Fixed an issue that prevented the 4.0.1 from installing on top of 4.0 when using the MSI.
• Fixed an issue that would sometimes cause the installer to take 30+ seconds to appear.

Paint.NET -> System Requirements

• Windows 7 SP1 or newer (including Windows 8, 8.1, and 8.1 Update 1).
• .NET Framework 4.5 is now required, and will be installed if needed.
• A dual-core (or more!) processor is highly recommended.
• Hardware acceleration (GPU) via Direct2D is now supported.
  • Please disable this in the Settings dialog if you experience visual artifacts.

Paint.NET -> Beschreibung

Paint.NET ist eine Bildbearbeitungs- Software, die an der Washington State University und bei Microsoft entwickelt wurde. Ursprünglich sollte Paint.NET lediglich eine erweiterte Version von Microsoft Paint sein. Durch ständige Erweiterung bietet das Programm mittlerweile Funktionen wie z. B. das Arbeiten mit Ebenen, welche aus Adobe Photoshop oder GIMP bekannt sind. Auch die Bedienung ähnelt der von Adobe Photoshop.
